Reminiscent of the heat sensitive materials made popular in the 90’s however these provide a more conventional brown pebble leather option rather than the bright colors often used as the inactive color. Neat little bit of innovation with an old gimmick from Puma. Other features include a patent leather stripe and neon green laces/lining. Check your local Puma dealer for these.

Trainer Dunk Low OK @ Provider

The Trainer Dunks are coming…

Provider have dropped pics of these crisp new white on whites that have just arrived instore. The sneaker market sometimes feels like it’s made up of about six good ideas that are just on constant re-run.

The Trainer Dunk, on the other hand, is more than just the sum of its parts. It moves with it’s own design logic. It’s a coherent silhouette you can see becoming a new staple in years to come. Without knowing exactly what anniversary suprises still lay ahead AF1-wise, you wonder whether we could be looking back and pinpointing the general release of the Trainer Dunk as ‘the’ most significant sneaker event of ‘07?

Beastie Boys Union LA Party

Today was the listening party over at Union LA for the new Beastie Boys album, The Mix-Up. The party was great with drinks and ice cream for all and a very chill laid back, late afternoon “Cali” vibe to it. The new album sounded great, it’s only instrumentals but the Beastie Boys were really able to pull it off, and it comes off as a really nice refreshing sound to a lot of the stuff that’s been coming out lately. The album drops June 26th, as in today, so go pick it up.

Now, we have a chance for a closer look at the Nike SB X Blueprint Abington Premium, the shoe behind the recent Nike / Blueprint party in London.

A lucky few party-goers got a pair of the shoes, which are themed around Blueprint heritage and British legal tender - the white, purple and silver colourway is taken from the old £20 note (check the silver lace tips) while the insole features classic Blueprint graphics.

The party itself was much better than your usual pose-a-thon, since it was based around the Blueprint and Made For Skate exhibition which documents Blueprint’s past and the long history of skate shoes.
